How Do You Stay Faithful for the Long Haul? With The Katinas

What Is the Secret to Lasting Faithfulness?
After decades of singing together, The Katinas know that lasting impact rarely happens overnight.
One of the brothers shares a lesson their father taught them: what happens publicly depends on what happens privately. Their preparation was not only about rehearsing music. Their father taught them to spend time alone with God, worship Him, and remember His goodness.
The goal was for what happened on stage to simply be an overflow of the life they were already living with God.
That is a powerful picture of faithfulness.

How Can Gratitude Change Your Perspective?
The Katinas also talk about a season when they found themselves wondering, God, when is it going to happen for us?
Out of that season came their song “Thank You.”
They explain that disappointment can easily pull our minds toward everything that is not happening. Gratitude does the opposite. It reminds us that God still has a purpose and plan, even when life is not unfolding according to our timeline.
As Randy puts it, being thankful for what God has done—and what He is still doing—can “reset” your heart.
Why Is Brotherhood Worth Fighting For?
Thirty-eight years together does not mean thirty-eight years without conflict.
The brothers openly share that they have disagreed, fought, and had to learn how to stay together through difficult seasons. After losing their mother and finding themselves on their own in America, they realized they had to choose brotherhood intentionally.
That lesson reaches far beyond family.
Strong relationships require grace, humility, forgiveness, and the willingness to keep choosing one another.
Keep Showing Up
The Katinas’ story is ultimately a reminder that faithfulness is rarely flashy.
It looks like showing up. Practicing when no one is watching. Thanking God when the future feels uncertain. Fighting for the people you love. And trusting that whatever season comes next, your calling is bigger than a stage.
